The weather was great, the sun was shining bright and it was a good weekend.
Saturday Eric, Aiden and I checked out "Big Air" at our local ski resort. Nothing professional of course, just local people showing off their talent by skiing or snowboarding over a big jump and trying to do spins or flips or whatever else they decide. It was entertaining. Aiden stayed fairly focused on the event and he was pretty excited when someone would do a flip and land their jump. If they didn't land he would say something like "Oh No, he crashed!" It was cute!
We also saw my brother, Rob, this weekend who turned 40 years old! I can't believe he's 40! He acts younger than me sometimes! Since he lives a couple hours aways, it's always so nice when he comes up and we get to visit. His daughters (my nieces) were with him as well and they are growing up so fast. Dominique is 14 and Ti'ana is 10! They are such great girls!
Sunday was a day of cleaning, doing bills and other paperwork. Eric's cousin, Nate and his girlfriend Emily stopped by for a couple hours and that was nice. Aiden always enjoys showing off for them both, especially Emily! We baked some cookies and played some hockey. Ate dinner with Eric's parents which was fantastic! Corned beef and cabbage, exactly what I crave this time of year! (First time I've eaten beef in about a month too!)
This week is the much anticipated Vernal Equinox, the official start of Spring! The sun is gaining strength everyday and it feels so much better. Today, the temperature was only about 30 degrees but driving in the car, feeling the hot sun shining through the windows, it was so hot and it felt fabulous!
So, a good start to good week!
